The Belgian kiteboarder completed the two-and-a-half spin at the Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational. The event challenged female riders to land a 720, and male athletes to land a 900 and 1080 off of a kicker.
Tack, 23, was able to complete two consecutive heelside frontside 900s off of the super kicker in the Men’s final heat. And he won an extra $900 for the stunt.
“I thought it was a really cool concept to add a little bit of prize money on pushing riders to try the 900. So, next up is the first 1080 on a hard kicker. That’s a challenge,” expressed Christophe Tack.
The 2014 PKRA World Freestyle champion and five-time Belgian National champion ignited the crowd of spectators, live stream viewers and event staff.
“Christophe Tack’s 900 was not only ground-breaking for the sport, but his execution was absolutely flawless, making it the sole 10-point trick of the entire contest. Without a doubt it was the most difficult trick ever landed in the 11-year history of the event,” underlined Brian Wheeler, head judge at the Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational.
