Iceland: a Nordic kiteboarding paradise | Photo: Manera

“Valhalla: Heading Far Up North” is a beautifully filmed short documentary about an unforgettable kite trip to Iceland. They got the wind, and they found the dramatic Nordic scenery.

Camille Delannoy, David Tonijuan, Etienne Lhôte, Mallory de la Villemarqué, and Pauline Valesa traveled up north, got out of their comfort zone, and rode their kites in frigid waters.

Surrounded by geysers, lava fields, volcanoes, and hot springs, the group was surprised by nature at every corner, in every moment, during each session. The athletes discovered waves, and rode strapless; they unveiled hidden icebergs and jumped over them.

“Valhalla” proves that paradise is not always a tropical destination with palm trees and coconut water. Earth is full of idyllic natural treasures waiting to be found.
