The third stop on the 2016 American Windsurfing Tour (AWT) is a turning point in the season and, with only two stages to go, small changes in the leaderboard mean valuable points.

Four specialists made it to the final of the Pro Men’s division – Jake Schettewi, Kevin Pritchard, Joey Sanchez, and Boujmaa Guilloul. Jake was the first to draw blood, but Guilloul promptly answered with his trademark airs and turns.

Pritchard wakes up and responds with power turns and aerials. Joey finds his space and attacks the wave’s lip; Boujmaa lands a goiter off a small wave and steals the heart of the judges.

In the Women’s division, Ingrid Larouche and Sarah Hauser had another memorable clash. The Australian took the first wave of the heat, but the final would only be decided in the last big set. In the end, and by a narrow margin, Hauser is the winner of the event.
